Parent-Child Pass

Every pregnant woman in Austria will receive a so-called “Eltern-Kind-Pass” (Parent-Child Pass) – formerly a “Mother-Child Pass”, regardless of whether you are an Austrian citizen or not. Your doctor will enter all important examinations for you and your child up to the 5th birthday in the Parent-Child Pass.

You do not have health insurance? Even then, you can have all Parent-Child Pass examinations carried out for free. Please contact your Wiener Gebietskrankenkasse!

Tip: Help fill out the Parent-Child Pass in full. Inform your doctor of all previous illnesses, miscarriages and other important things. If you are not sure, please ask questions.

Further information on the Parent-Child Pass examinations as well as legal framework conditions can be found here.
