Anonymous birth

An anonymous birth is an offer for pregnant women

  • that do not or cannot keep their child
  • for whom an adoption right is not possible

During an anonymous birth, you do not need to provide the maternity clinic with your details. Instead, you can choose any name or title. In doing so, you can have all necessary examinations carried out and will also receive a mother-child health passport. Furthermore, you have the safety of a birth in a hospital.

After the birth, you can freely decide whether you want to remain anonymous or not. If yes, the youth welfare office will give the baby up for adoption. You can choose to change this decision for up to 6 months.
