Outpatient birth

An outpatient birth takes place in the hospital but you can go home with your baby after a few hours. An outpatient birth combines the safety of a hospital with the personal surroundings in the child’s first few days of life.

To do so, you must bring with you a written confirmation that at home you will be looked after by a midwife or by a paediatrician in a surgery.
