Eating correctly at the age for supplementary feeding – the baby’s first solid food

In the first few months of life, your baby receives everything it needs through breast milk or infant formula. Between the 5th and 7th month of life, it is also time to feed solid food. Therefore, do not start before the 17th week but latest by the 26th week of life. The exact time depends on the development of the child. Good indications are the first teeth of the baby and interest in the food eaten by the family.

Start with small quantities of finely puréed food. However, breast milk or infant formula remain an important part of the diet.
